Louisville native and Director of Music, John Austin Clark serves as founding executive director of Bourbon Baroque since 2007. Mr. Clark operates a private piano studio (#musicbox1532), is an active accompanist and vocal coach, directs musical theatre and opera, and performs regularly with various ensembles and equity theatre houses such as Actors Theatre of Louisville among others. He is the recipient of the 2017 Young Alumni Achievement Award from his alma mater Louisville Collegiate School in Louisville, Kentucky. He performs on a variety of keyboard instruments and owns a 2017 Beaupré Italian harpsichord (Montréal, QC). He can be heard on the Naxos/Centaur label. Upcoming appearances include the Waterfront Botanical Gardens in Louisville, Kentucky where he will appear in recital with soprano Elisabeth Burmeister  featuring "Gems from the American Songbook." This November, Bourbon Baroque's annual performances of Handel's Messiah will be transitioned online.
